For Immediate Release: AGIF congratulates Montgomerie Links for winning the USD$10,000 grant to promote participation in the game of golf across all socioeconomic strata in the Central Coast region of Vietnam. An initiative led by Committee Chairman Mark Adams and endorsed by the Vietnam Golf Association, golf courses and driving ranges in Vietnam were invited to submit their bids earlier in the year for AGIF's consideration.

Singapore (August 13): Tiger Woods is only an International Olympic Committee vote away from having the chance to compete for a gold medal at the 2016 Olympics, and possibly on the golf superstar's home soil.

The International Olympic Committee executive board recommended Thursday that golf and rugby sevens be included among the sports in the 2016 Olympics. A final decision by the full IOC will be made October 9 at Copenhagen.

For it may be the day that forever alters how the game grows around the world. The International Olympic Committee’s executive committee meets that day in Berlin, and members will recommend two sports for possible addition to the 2016 Olympic Games.
